At Lonsdale Living Facility:
• Youths will have their own bedroom which may be decorated
with posters or pictures.
• Youths may need to share a bathroom with others in their
apartment unit.
• The living room is equipped with a television, board games,
and books.
• Access to outdoor toys are also available (e.g., sporting
equipment, bikes, etc.).ts to take control of their own health and well-being.
• There is a classroom at the LTC campus. The schoolwork
completed is designed to best meet the youth's needs. Goals
to gradually reintegrate the youth into the school system are
also implemented.
• If the youth chooses not to go to school, they can do school
work or independent activities; there will be no electronics
used during school hours.
• The priority is the youth's assessment and treatment goals.
This means that they may sometimes attend appointments
during the school day.
• This time is dedicated to preferred activities, both on and off
campus (e.g., biking, swimming, computer time, music,
reading, walking/hiking, etc.).
• Free time is supervised and facilitated by staff
We offer a variety of wellness programs tailored to meet the unique needs of our clients. Our programs include stress management, weight loss, and smoking cessation.
• Youths are encouraged to attend group and all appointments
made for them.
• If youths choose not to attend a group or appointment, other
independent activities will be provided. There will be no
electronics used during group time.
